Map settings allow you to customize the appearance of the map, including detail, orientation, and text size.
To change map settings, select (Menu >) Tools > Settings > Map.
Map Detail - select the level of detail. Less detail allows the map to redraw faster.
Orientation - select 3 Dimensional, North Up (north at the top of the screen), or Track Up (your direction of travel at the top of the screen).
Vehicle - Choose a vehicle for your map. Go to www.garmin.com/vehicles for more vehicles.
Auto Zoom - select Enabled (automatically zooms to show the next turn on the map) or Disabled.
Show Speed Limits - select Yes (displays speed limit indicators on the map) or No.
Metro Areas - select Enabled (metro areas are shaded) or Disabled.
Show Location - select On Roads (location appears on the nearest road) or At GPS Location (location appears at the actual GPS location).
Outline Detailed Maps - select Yes (displays lines around detailed maps you have loaded onto your device) or No.
Lat/Lon Grid - select Enabled (displays the latitude/longitude grid) or Disabled.
Map Features - select the text size for items that appear on the map (POIs, streets, cities) or disable text labels.
