Understanding Location Messages

Location Messages allow you to send your current location information to other people using SMS text messaging. You can include the nearest address and a map image (NOTE: sending a map image requires MMS picture messaging support on sender's and receiver's phones). Other users receive the message as a location message. They can then save the location and route to it. Non-users receive a text message only.

You can request location information from other users. When you receive a location messages, you are prompted to open the application. If it is already running, a message appears. You can save the location message, view it on the map, and route to it.

Your normal messaging fees apply.
