Viewing GPS Information
To view information about your remote GPS, select the GPS icon in the upper-left corner of the main application page. You can also select (Menu >) Tools > Settings > System > Remote GPS. The icon image indicates one of three items: Remote GPS is Off, Searching for Remote GPS, or Remote GPS Signal Strength.
The Remote GPS page contains information about the GPS unit connected to your device. It also shows status information for your device, including device software version, unit ID, and battery gauge. You can use the Remote GPS Information page to change GPS auto-off settings, enable WAAS/EGNOS for greater accuracy (where applicable), and enable/disable the GPS.
To view detailed GPS information from the Remote GPS Information page, select (Menu >) GPS Info. The GPS Information page contains information about the GPS satellite signals your device is receiving and their signal strength. It shows your position (lat/lon), the GPS signal accuracy, your current speed, and your current elevation. You can also use the GPS Information page to set your location, if necessary.
